In the Beginning

In the past I had so many doubts and questions. Did God actually exist or was he merely a figment of my imagination? Was God truly loving and kind? If God was so kind why did he allow bad things to happen? Did he keep a record of my wrongs and delight in punishing me? Would I ever be able to get past the pain I felt in my entire being? Would I ever break free from the dark cloud of sadness and sorrow that seemed to perpetually hover over me? In the beginning of this journey I was completely lost and broken, but God continued to meet me. He answered the questions on my heart, and even to this day I continue to learn more about him and his beautiful nature. I hope that as you read the following words you feel wrapped in the arms of his love.

Come Away with Me

Come away with me and discover my immeasurable devotion. You will begin to hear my song that constantly flows over you. You will start to learn the language of my heart. My heart is not guarded and I am not afraid of being hurt. I love extravagantly, and I never consider the cost or worry about it not being reciprocated. It is my pleasure to share my love with all of creation. I am cheerful and enthusiastic. I take great pleasure in inviting my beloved to get a glimpse of my face. Begin to celebrate your life. You are a marvelous miracle. Enjoy each day and look for me in it. Focus on the things that you are doing well instead of what you perceive as failures. I never intend for you to live under any dark clouds rarely able to see the sunshine of my presence. My perfect will for your life is not for you to walk around feeling guilty or stressed. Be released today from the prison of your perceived imperfections and inabilities. Be free from feeling unimportant and insignificant. You matter more than you could possibly imagine. The world would not be a better place if you were not in it. You walk and carry my light to this dark and broken world. You have no idea what I can and have already done through you. Allow me to give you new lenses. Let me display your life in a very different light and angle. New perspective can change everything. Your life has substantial meaning, purpose, and significance. You matter to me, and I want a relationship  more than you could possibly ever know. I cherish your very being, and when I think of you I always smile.

You cannot change your view of me on your own. It will come through experiencing me. Experience helps to shape attitudes and outlooks. As you get to know who I am, your current opinion of me will automatically change. It will happen so subtly you may not even recognize that you feel differently about me.  Once you understand how much I love you, your current hypothesis will be proven false. You will have new evidence that will contradict your present-day assumptions. That is one of the miracles of my love. It can change the beliefs of the most clouded person. My presence can shine through any darkness and bring revelation and truth. Be confident that you are in the palm of my hand and I am working on your heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. I am making you whole in all areas, and you will never be the same. Major and significant changes are taking place in you even at this very moment. You will not even recognize yourself because I am making you into the image of my son. My children often struggle to comprehend who I am. You are my hands and feet to the world, you can share my heart with them. You can hold them and allow my love to flow through you. I created my children to be a physical representation of my love. You can rely on me to take care of you and everything that concerns you. I care about every detail that has your attention. I pay attention to the things that are burdens to you. I even notice the things that bring you pleasure. I take great delight in seeing you laugh and having fun. I never meant for life to be mundane and miserable. I do not want you to walk around feeling depressed, dejected, and despondent. I created your life to be full of color and vitality. There is nothing wrong with finding things that you enjoy. I would love to be allowed to participate with you. I just want to be with you. I am not standing by with a clipboard keeping a list of everything that you do wrong. I am always celebrating you. I do not expect you to perform for me. I do not have a list of religious activities or strict schedules that I expect you to adhere to. The best kind of relationship is when those involved simply enjoy being together. That is all that I want. I love to have your attention and hear your voice. I take great pleasure when you invite me to participate in any of your daily activities.  I do not wish to control you. You are not a puppet and I do not hold any strings. You have been given freedom to make choices. I would love to help you in making these decisions. I know how this story ends and can be of great assistance to you. I desire what is best for you.
